Challenging Medical Findings in Child Sexual Assault Cases

Location: Lake Mizell A
Date: Sat, May 2
Time: 9:15 AM - 10:30 AM

Many child sexual assault cases rest in large part on medical findings that the female victim exhibited some injury or scarring on a gynecological exam, and that such evidence is indicative of past abuse. This session will examine the current state of medical opinions in this area, and ways to investigate innocence cases involving such evidence.
