Carlye Conte

Carlye Conte is a second year graduate student at Nova Southeastern University, pursuing a Ph.D. in clinical psychology, with a concentration in forensics. Her research interests include wrongful convictions, false confessions, and gender disparities in conviction and exoneration. She is the coordinator of the Women and False Confessions research project and has established a false confession database to determine the internal and external factors that make women uniquely vulnerable to false confessions. Ms. Conte hopes that continued research into the phenomenon of women and false confessions will lead to changes in public policy and prevent the conviction of innocent women.
