Katie Monroe is Executive Director of Healing Justice, which provides support, reconciliation, and recovery in cases involving exonerations. Before that, Katie was Senior Advocate for National Partnerships at the Innocence Project, Executive Director of the Rocky Mountain Innocence Center, and Senior Counsel at both the Constitution Project and the US Commission on Civil Rights. Katie has taught at George Mason School of Law and S.J. Quinney College of Law and served on the boards of the Mid-Atlantic Innocence Project and Innocence Network. Katie’s interest in innocence work began when her mother, Beverly, was wrongly convicted in Virginia in 1992.
