LLauren Kaeseberg is a staff attorney at the Illinois Innocence Project. Based in Chicago, she litigates DNA and non-DNA cases primarily in Northern Illinois. Prior to joining the IIP, Lauren worked in private criminal defense, handling major state and federal cases at the trial level and on appeal, while also maintaining a number of pro bono wrongful conviction cases. Lauren is a graduate of Cardozo Law School in New York, where she participated in the Innocence Project clinic from 2005-2007. She has directly obtained and worked on a number of exonerations and she enjoys working actively with exonerees on 'life after' issues.
