Nick Moroni is a communications-policy associate at the Innocence Project, and is responsible for generating publicity around the Innocence Project's policy efforts. His background is in political communications and journalism. Prior to joining the Innocence Project in 2014, Nick was a press secretary for Rep. Carolyn B. Maloney (NY-12). He has also held a number of other communications positions. Nick started his career as a journalist and has written for publications such as Crain's New York Business and a number of local community newspapers. Nick spent much of his career and life in Chicago, where he covered city, county and state politics for publications such as The Chicago Reporter, The Chicago Sun-Times and many others. He has a Bachelors Degree in Art History and a Masters Degree in Journalism, both from DePaul University.
